Two uses I'd like to use one of these with:
Field Sampling. Which ones are actually portable?
Turntable sampling of records - - -any that have phono pre-amps built in?
Samplers (SP-404, SP-303, KP3, Kaossilator Pro)

DO NOT GET A 303 UNLESS YOU CAN FIND/HAVE SMARTMEDIA CARDS.
I HAVE A 303 BUT NOT SM CARD, 30 SECONDS OF SAMPLING TIME IS NOT ENOUGH.

Yeah....I know better than to get anything that uses smart media....unless someone gives it to me. Those damned cards are really expensive and not very robust.
