Hmmm... Maybe they're not the "top" albums in the broad sense of the word, but for ME the TOP 5 albums (for the moment for sure and no particular order) are:

Jessica Bailiff - Even In Silence
Bardo Pond - On The Ellipse
Windy&Carl - Drawing Of The Sound
Bowery Electric - S/T
Staruha Mha - Fires (it's Russian drone/dark-ambient "one-man-project", some people call it ritual ambient)

And TOP10 too:
+
Sigur Ros - ( )
Ataxia - Automatic Writing
Flying Saucer Attack - Distance
Low - I Could Live In Hope
Godspeed You Black Emperor - Yanqui U.X.O

I want to notify that I'm not Kranky Records promoter how it can seems for my "tops" ;)
E13/DE pedals I have: Synth Mangler, Dream Mangler, Truly Beautiful Disaster, Never Drive, LP, 05/25, Aenima, Dark Boost (E13 1-knob version and DE w/ 2-knobs), NoFi (yellow & brown), Krackle Fuzz

Hmm...

Darkthrone - the last three albums tie for me
Babes in Toyland - Fontanelle
Melvins - Ozma/ Gluey Porch Treatments
Bethlehem - Schatten aus der Alexander Welt
Darkthrone - Soulside Journey

At least, those have been the biggest influences on me and my guit-stringin'.

OK...OK...OK....

*deep breath*

Thinking about it, I guess I can come up with the top 5 albums that have influenced me recently (last 20 years or so....)

1) Music For The Jilted Generation or Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned - Prodigy
2) Blood Sugar Sex Magic - Red Hot Chili Peppers
3) Dead Elvis or Contino Sessions - Death In Vegas
4) Exile On Coldharbour Lane or La Peste - Alabama 3
5) Nevermind - Nirvana

Before 15 years ago -

1) Tyranny And Mutation - Blue Oyster Cult
2) Jailbreak - Thin Lizzy
3) Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
4)Something That I Said - The Ruts
5) Warrior At The End Of Time - Hawkwind

BUT......this is a bottle of red wine and a load of JD talking!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Share the love!!!! And Happy Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Smashing Pumpkins : MCIS
2. Smashing Pumpkins : Siamese Dreams
3. Pink Floyd : Dark Side Of The Moon
4. Autolux : Future Perfect
5. Daft Punk : Discovery

It was hard to decide for the last 3, there's so many other albums i would have loved to post from Led Zed, Deftones, At The Drive In, The Beatles, Black Sabbath and so on...
