First thanks guys!

I am constantly wondering to save up money to pay for college or to buy a TV200 (or RV100)
I need to get something better because right now I have a SS 99$ Fender Frontman 25R and I have been playing for 5 years.
oh yeah and that sounded absolutely sexy.

Do you want to go to college? Personally speaking I went to community collage and at the time didn't buy much gear... [well I did buy a new cab and dano, but a family member died and I was left with a bit of money, not much but enough to blow on gear, part of which had to go to having my SVT fixed

...

BUT because I was taking Marine carpentry my school had where every monday for a extra $100 a quarter you got 3-4 hours where you could build anything you wanted in the school main shop

and so I built... 3 basses and 2 guitars while I was there
Also because of my training I have been able to keep a job [I build all the jigs] in the building trades through this whole economic BS and can buy most of the gear I want. Just food for thought...
Now is a TV200 the shit? yes, and I don't see myself buying another amp that can be called a guitar amp... even if I use the thing with bass most of the time

Really what I look for in a amp is A: it must be tube [sorry non tubers but I like what I like] B: "simple" and "oldschool" designs are always better to me. There are lot of good amps out there if you look like sunns, fender bandmasters and bassman 100s kill for effects but even now they keep going up in price

Also ampeg made some great amps. My guitar amp for YEARS was a J-12T with a DOD Deathmetal distortion... I should do a demo of the EA through that as well now that I think of it.... I mean having a dream amp is great but first I think you have to work on your other dreams then tone... What I would do is hunt through Portland's Music stores and pawn shops and see what you can dig up cheap...

Sorry about not being fun and all
