i need one and a half credits of business/tech and because i didn't get to actually take a business/tech class i got a big business packet of work instead. i have no clue how this is relevant pretty much. i've been leafing through it and the entire thing is pretty much FUCK YEAH USA.
oh here's the next question "accept for a moment the viewpoint that many of the countries of the developing world are out-competing american industry. from your perspective, what can and should our country do to become more competitive?"
I'm an econ major and I completely agree. Any class that's not just straight up theory is just AMERICA IS NUMBER ONE!!!!!! Be glad you don't actually have to sit through a business class.
And you should totally work superheroes into every answer. What would I do? call batman. How would I make America better? call the Justice League...or magyver.

I have a check out that is going to be deposited on the 15th (my normal pay day) for more money than I have in my account...
I don't think that's legal.
Unfortunately I think it is. Because the cycle is only shifted - So I'll still eventually get paid that money, 2 weeks after quitting or being fired. My last job - MFS Investment Management - did the same thing for an even longer period of time.

What I'm getting at is they can't withhold your pay but surely they can fuck with the pay period which on my ethical compass is just as bad, especially in this day when most people are living paycheck to paycheck. They could have at least given you some kind of notice so you could plan accordingly.
