This! To the letter!

Yep. :thumb: Never put a single sticker on my bass. Never before I turned 35. Then... I had to hide out the bad paint job on my old V-bass and I came to think of Slayer. :yay:

I *just* added a Romona Flowers sticker to my Jag, mostly out of my need to have everything be red/black/gray/white. Don't ask me why.

:erm: Yes, I'm 30.

My son found a Squire copy of this.

With this sticker on it.

we joked the sticker was worth more than the guitar.

I think personalizing an instrument makes it easier to relate to/ or play it. I dont know how to say it. It builds an aura. I mean if I didn't build the thing then i might as well put something of my own in it.

Yep! Doesn't have to be a sticker, though -- anything to make it your own is nice. I certainly understand wanting to keep your stuff pristine, but I always feel more comfortable using a guitar after personalizing it, even if it's the most minute thing.

I wouldn't on any of my guitars. They have really nice finishes, except for my LTD which is just meh. But I may sticker up one of my basses. I have 2 identical basses (When the first was shipped to me the neck was broken in half. The company replaced it but never took back the broken one.) and both are just plain white. They need a little something.

Well yeah  I've been debating between a standard J neck (I like the P bass J neck combo) or a fretless.

I agree with the j neck on pbass thing. That's how mine was set up before I sold the neck. Now I'm trying to get a fretless for it...so I say go fretless. Not familiar with any decent price ones myself soooo if anyone knows...

Hmm...

I'm currently waiting on an Edwards Les Paul copy in white to arrive, I paid the guy I'm getting it from by cheque, which will have cleared by tomorrow, and he will have the guitar sent out to me on Monday.

Anyway, I did have an idea of making it into a kind of Steve Jones-inspired thing by taking off the pickguard, and putting some pinup girl stickers on it. Not the exact same ones as on his original (or indeed the limited run Gibson signature model they did, although you can get those on eBay etc), but it would be a similar kind of thing. I plan on leaving it as it is for the time being though, maybe a pickup change... Wait and see.

Right now, the only sticker on any of my guitars is a small Dr Who Dalek sticker on the control plate of my Baja tele, between the knobs.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

This guy went on my tele sometime in the 80s. It was part of a Cult sticker, the "Cult" portion is on the orig pick guard that got switched out when I put the humbucker in. Also had a Clockwork Orange sticker behind the bridge, it got pretty ratty after a few years so I took it off, it left the sticker residue that was great for holding picks, and lint and hair.

I say this confidentely and with no exaggeration that your guitar is my favorite guitar aesthetically that I have seen.

Aside from maaaayybe a dark woodgrain tele.
