TWA Great Divide Multi-Voice Octaver

Post by Toonster »

There was no topic about the TWA Great Divide Multi-Voice Octaver yet? That's a shame, it is an awesome pedal I think..
This video is a lot talking, but there is also some music

The details from http://www.godlyke.com/_product_83733/GREAT_DIVIDE
The New Math –
The Great Divide combines classic analog octave division with digital programmability to create the fattest, funkiest earth-shattering, ear-splitting octave unit ever!

The Great Divide features five continuously blendable analog octave voices including Dry, Octave Up, Octave Down, Sub and Synth.

Sub can be user-assigned as -1 Octave Down, -1.5 Octaves Down, -2 Octaves Down or -2.6 Octaves Down (!) for massive low-end girth.

The Synth voice slams different octave waveforms together in a variety of combinations to create a dance-floor’s worth of edgy, spitty, splattery Synth-fuzz octave effects.

The Great Divide’s unique Octave-Up voice provides two modes of operation – the first is a standard Octavia-style octave fuzz effect while the “Envelope” mode creates a filtering effect that swells into the octave-up tone over time.

All voice and switch settings can be saved and recalled using the Great Divide’s digital memory. Switch instantly from deep-end Dub bass to ear-splitting ring-modulated fuzz at the touch of a button! The tonality of each voice may also be adjusted via a massive array of internal Trim Pots and DIP switches. External FX send/return allows user to patch in a secondary effect that is then controlled by the Great Divide.

The Great Divide features True Bypass Switching and is 100% made in the USA!

Ship Date: March, 2011.

Sounds pretty awesome! Seems like it tracks really well too... I'd like to hear it on bass and also how it sounds in line with some other effects.

I edited with some more details.. Seems to be an analog/digital hybrid, that can be a good thing of course..

So, there's the dedicated 1 octave down, but then the sub switch has the option for 1 octave down as well....cool?

Holy hell. I was just explaining to sonidero a couple days ago I needed a pedal that was like half of a bass/micro synth...here it is. Do want!

Looks like I've got time to save the $350. Won't be out for another 4 months or so.

Its an all analog circuit. All that's digital is the option to save presets.

I'm always suspicious if they don't play chords. It's very tight though. Very warm compared to the competition.

Although, analog octave dividers usually don't handle chords so well anyway... :idk:
Aren't they only really meant for single notes?
