I'd be glad to hold onto some of that stuff for ya. Don't worry, I'll take good care of it ;)

I'd leave the maton in the states for now. You can always get it back in the future if you start gassing too hard for it (not cheaply, but you'll probably visit your grandparents sometime and you could get it then).

If you think you can get by with just the les paul for a year, then leave the maton. If you think that you'll miss the maton too much, bring the maton.

I'd bring it, that's a long time to part with a really sweet guitar. What model is it? I have two Maton electrics and they're about all I play anymore. Like you though, I'd be pretty stressed about the guitar making it safely. Can you carry a guitar on a flight or does it have to be checked luggage?

That said, my other guitar is a LP Custom with coil tap and it's pretty versatile now, I could definitely get by with it, but I always find myself going to the Matons.

Yea, that's risky, I would never check a guitar. I know a guy who handles luggage for American and he's always telling me stories of shit getting destroyed and or lost. I hate how you have no clue if somethings going to be ok'd for carry on until your going through security or boarding the flight, a little late to change your mind. Good luck whatever you decide.

Yeah, everything I've ever heard about luggage handling hasn't been pretty.

So if you're flying out of Milwaukee, and on the way you see a town that starts with an O and ends with an onslaught of random letters, just stop by, say hi, and drop off your stuff at my place. :thumb:

How much would it be to ship the things later? I have no idea if that's viable or if it'd be even more expensive. It seems safer though.
