This amp makes noise, good and bad!

Post by drkeys »

Greetings all from an LTWFTW (long time watcher first time writer),

I have a small amplifier that makes a bunch of noise. When it's good, it sounds pretty damn dirty due to its built-in overdrive channel. When it's bad, it sounds like there's a problem with the input jack. What's the best way to rectify this?

Cheers,
Keys

Welcome! Glad to finally see you here. :)

Open 'er up and see if you can see any loose wires on the input jack. You might want to buy a multimeter so you can check for continuity in other places... Be careful and make sure you unplug it first. Stay away from the board, if you can so you don't get shocked. It's not likely to happen but better safe than sorry, right?
