I can't really help either but I feel like you'd be in very good hands with either pedal. *smile*

I used to have DTD and I sold it. I found it to be quite noisy actually. The modulation is over the top to me. The whole sound is a bit metallic I would say. The SDD sounds different. It is warmer and watery. I like it best with my acoustic guitar. The modulation is well balanced and it sounds pretty sweet. For me I'd chose SDD over the DTD, but in the end it is just a matter of taste I think.

Very much appreciated, thank you! Two times! Just curious, are yours original 4 knobbers with the two outputs, or regular 4 knobbers, or new 5 knobbers? They all sound basically the same although the original ones with two outputs had a lot more background noise than later versions.

Why do you say that? I love mine for the most part, but some times I have trouble dialing in the sound I want. Like I can get it close, then when I try to fine tune it I end up loosing what I orig wanted. I can hear the lfo from the modulation come through occasionally as well :grumpy:

Do all of them have modulation, or only the older ones?

SDDs have had modulation since the first one, at first they had a knob for mod rate and a toggle for mod on/off and now they have the knob for mod rate plus a knob for mod depth.

Ahh, that's good to know. The Picket Fence I just picked up has the switch...and I was kinda wishing for a depth knob as I played with it. Great sounding pedal though, and I love the silly artwork. It would be hard for me to flip it in order to get one with a depth knob...

Do you have a photo of that one, or can you point it out on the Dr Scientist Flicker page?

I really enjoy the artwork on these.
