I believe the remark was that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus.

The Vatican has never been known to let loose of a grudge easily or change an opinion.

But hey it took less than a century for this.

Yeah, I guess the Vatican doesn't really like satirical remarks that much.

very ironic how an institution that has left more scars on the souls of innocent human beings than anything I can think of off the top of my head feels like it's forgiveness is worth a flying fuck......if there is a hell, there is a very special place for The Church.

I thought they were supposed to "turn the other cheek"? I always took that as a universal code for forgiveness... but maybe Jesus was just into that sorta thing.

Not that it matters... the other cheek still wouldn't be as popular as the Beatles. :haha:
