Hotcake rocks indeed - double is twice as tasty.

Always impossible to really get a feel with these things with the compression/signal from video/audio.

You need to BE there!

But snazzy gfx fo'sure - it adds to the sound.

I wonder just how different the new Klon will be. That nonsense about the germanium diodes being out of production should have no bearing on the design. I think the circuit sounds better with silicon power diodes anyways.

i could really only tell like... 3 main sounds.

the boss and budda (tinny), everything else, and the Boiling Point (bassy). i guess the rodenberg sounded kinda muffled too. sidewinder is my favorite though.

but honestly whats the point in having a pedal that most decent amps do better?

the sounds definitely get harder to distinguish as you go along, and the fact that they already sounded very similar doesn't help. I can't say that anything really stood out way above anything else.

oh well, tele bridge pickup = not applicable to me.

30 minutes of OD was too much for me to watch because I'm impatient, but I'm definitely going to have to jump on the Basic Audio bandwagon. It sounded pretty awesome.

... i didn't watch it all, just bounced around but these demo thingies are so boring and useless for me. if i went by demos i would never buy anything.
...and that's not a knock against anyone, it's just that so many factors are involved it does the entire process a disservice by having someone dial in the same sounds on 3 dozen diff pedals.

didnt really convince me that i NEED one of those pedals. i kinda wish they threw in a Blackout effectors mantra, and im sure they could have found some other ones to throw into the mix. but uhhh i'm not getting this whole "pay $800+ for a Klon" thing... anyone care to enlighten me?
