Dear Builders

Post by Bellyheart »

There need to be more collabs amongst you! I really think there are things that certain builders lack in, that others are very skilled in...and vice versa. It'd be awesome. Mangler AFO, CHK CHK BLOOM, The Great Transport 4545...

I don't know if any of those are really feasible, but just to give example. Hell a ILF branded circuit?!

Sincerely,
Jon

One of my original plans for FH was to do as many collabs as possible...I've gotten to do 3-5 maybe, but it turned out pedal builders are busy people. :/ Still haven't done as many BIG collabs as I've wanted.

There's a few of us who love this idea too! It's just tough since everybody's so busy.. some of these guys don't even have enough in time in the day to put pants on.

Plus we haven't been able to source a wide enough enclosure yet.. something about 36" wide by 4" tall, a Hammond 1590ZZ.

I'm glad this is considered. Someone should just hand off an incomplete circuit and let the next person work on it...wait I have no idea what I'm talking about or how time consuming your assemblage may be. I meant no disrespect.

We Sort of Are... Me not having my breadboard atm makes me a pretty crappy collaborator though

I think as builders we knock ideas off eachother a bit atleast, that's collaborating to a point, someone has to do final pulling together though which is a large amount of the leg work as things need to play well so I think that might be one sorta reason they don't happen as much as would be nice, it's all very well dropping segments of schematics onto someones plate but that's not the whole she-bang, if it were, i'd drop off a bunch of half finished ideas and schematics onto whoever said they'd give me a cut of the action right now.

I think he meant one of them. And I think that's more a "lifestyle" choice than anything. :surprise: <-the coding on this should be changed to :spunx:
