Diamond Eyes is a good album, shows a bit of variability in their music - such songs as Sextape for example. but still has songs heavy as fuck
their older work? well... i guess everyone knows "My own summer" such a badass song... i absolutely love "Hexagram", "Be quiet and drive", "Around the fur" (THE beat!) and "Change"
so much emotion and agression at the same time... badass band
Deftones have been awesome ever since I first heard 7 words, just the right amount of anger in there. Favourite album would be White Pony, but all their stuff is great. They've done a much better job at still being awesome than most, if not all, of the bands they were being lumped in with when they came out.

I've only listened to White Pony and Self-titled...maybe Around the Fur once or twice. Love White Pony. Last night while tossing and turning I decided I needed to download it again.
One of my fav. bands, really liked Diamond Eyes, glad they still write kick ass songs after 20 years. The old stuff is cool, but I'm glad they've made the twists and turns that they did with their music. And Chino is one of the best vocalist IMO, not to mention a phenomenal performer.
ILF Pedals: Dream Mangler, Hyperion, Shoegazer, Dark Boost, Shiva, Improbability Drive, Singing Tree
Adrenaline came out when I was in high school and then I saw them open for Korn, and they blew Korn off the stage, IMO. And that was when Korn was big shit. I still fucking love Adrenaline, that is my go-to "work-out" music when I go to the gym or go on a run. But I like their newer shit, too. Diamond Eyes pleasantly surprised me. This was always one of my favorite album-starters:
You know those bands that you listened to 15 years ago, and then after many years of ignoring them you find them on the shelf and think "oh man, I should check this out again, I wonder if they are still as good as I remember?!" and then you are pleasantly surprised by how awesome their great music still remains?
Deftones are not one of those bands. But I used to love them.
