so i got out the breadboard today and did some stuff and didnt work all i got was guitar signal and a volume drop so i tried out some simple circuits silver crank,electra to see maybe if maybe it was my breadboarding skills are rusty and still the same thing im sure im doing it right yet with every thing i just get the same thing with every circuit
double check because im going cross eyed looking at the photo but im pretty sure you dont have it plugged in such that the LED is even connected.
not that my lines are any easier to see but i tried to put a green and yellow line. to me it looks like the led is plugged into the row with the yellow line and the resistor the green. this wont work, they have to be on the same row. Also its very hard to make out but maybe the other side of the resistor is also on the wrong row and not in the same row as that white wire which it needs to be.
i might be looking at it and seeing it wrong though so if you do have them on teh same row already then i dont know why its not working.
the white jumper is jumping the power to the resistor row and and then the led is on the same row as the other side of the resistor then the neg is jumped jack to the neg battery row

I don't know, I think I am wrong. You can check though, look real closely into the holes of the breadboard and see which direction the metal connection bar goes.
usually it goes like the green lines are on your pic on the mid area and like you have the black lines on the pairs of rows on the outside. So to me you are thinking correctly with your connection if it is a typical breadboard.
what value of resistor are you using? if it is too large there will not be any detectable light from the led. from a 9v try in the 470 ohms to 1k ohm to get a very noticeable light?
ive tried it with 1k like i always use and nothin and even some other leds i tried it the other way connecting on the board and no lovin bummer i just bought this too now i have to go buy another curse u futurlec!!!
take the same led and resistor, hold it together with your fingers and put it across the battery and see if it lights up. could even be the battery snap.
