Looks like it MIGHT have some EMGs or other active pickups, and a strange switch. Neck looks a tad different as well.

It's a modded Melody Maker most likely.

Yep it's a modded Melody Maker. You can tell by the headstock. It doesn't have the "wings" glued on the sides.

That.
Looks like it has a Maestro and EMG's added.

definitely a Maestro--over the wraparound bridge/tail
--but it looks to me like those are regular black-coil humbuckers that are badly-lit in a poor-resolution photo. maybe i'm just hoping this because i don't want to think about the hole this fuckstick would have chiseled in the back for the battery compartment, which would make me want to schedule an optometry appointment with Dr. Oedipus.

the Ampeg SG, delightfully named the Super Stud:
even wackier, in (maple?) (ash?)

they also made a Telecaster copy with the same headstock called the Heavy Stud, and basses called the Little and Big Studs. don't you want one just for irony value?

I've always wondered what tracks Christian Fennesz used that modded Melody Maker on. Any ideas OP?
