i'll start with Karnivool since it's probably my very favourite band you learnt this by ear, didn't you? Some parts weren't really spot-on, there were some different tones and stuff, also when you played the pre-climax high motive, you seemed really stiff to me... but i think with a bit of practice, you can get it right and more clear, just be cool and relaxed
i don't listen to Thrice, but i really liked it seemed more clear, relaxed... just fine!

Haha thanks dude, Yeh figured everything out by ear, mainly because I trust myself more then others when it comes to music and reading tab doesn't help you musically. I will admit I was pretty tense when recording Goliath because I had only finished working it out that day With the Thrice song, much more mellow and smooth feel, I'm much more comfortable playing that kind of music (I think it shows to haha)
