Y'all are a bunch of hipster grumpusses. I have no plans to go to any festivals this year, but I can still appreciate there's a handful of good bands to make up for the fact that Kanye West is bunched in with them. The Strokes, !!!, Moving Units, Big Audio Dynamite, DFA1979(those two salvage the whole thing on their own), The Black Keys, Arcade Fire, Klaxons, Broken Social Scene, One Day as a Lion, Chromeo, Lightning Bolt, Scissor Sisters, New Pornographers. The rest of the acts I've either never heard of or I simply despise.

I've been to my share of festivals and they are generally overcrowded, expensive, and far away from Arkansas. Plus, I'd much rather see bands in a club/theater setting. I'll still attend festivals, but the conditions have to be just right. Below is a picture from the free Scion Metal Fest in 2009. I'm wearing the Spiderman shirt.

My only point was that there are a good number of good bands on the list. I don't particularly like festivals for the reasons you stated. I also wanted to use the word grumpusses. Note the second u is an uh sound, like humus. It's not an amalgam of grump and pussy; It's just a fun way to say grump.

I really want to go, but I don't see myself paying more or less 400 bucks (after gas and weed and whatnot) just to see 3-4 bands that I like. I'm pretty pissed that they chose Coachella as their reunion venue. Hopefully they decide to play some more shows in other places (FUCKING SEATTLE, PLEASE GOD!!!)
