It's not the prettiest of their offerings, but Visual Sound's new DTD (Double Tap Delay) pedal is all sorts of sweet. I may need to pick that up fairly quickly.

damn, strymon was there? i swear i didnt see them, and i was actually looking for them.

Anyways, i heard jack deville's new chorus, vibrato, flange, tremolo pedal and it sounds awesome, also their new fuzz sounds sweet. i also bought a dark echo at their booth, sounds pretty great.
Got to meet Aen and heard his guitar magic live- he had this crazy cube that had a rot yr brain in it and a few other things that im forgetting, tons of joysticks. The internet sounded great but I really cant justify any more dirt.
EHX as usual has put out some awesome products, mainly the deluxe memory man.
All the malekko stuff seems really cool, the bit crusher and octave down especially.
and there was a ton of other cool stuff that i am probably forgetting.
the fender booth was awesome by the way. they had this whole showcase of custom guitars and there were some cool ones there, my favorite was a silver sparkle jazzmaster. also the new squier duo sonic sounds pretty cool, not crazy about the squier jazzmaster's looks, but soundwise theyre alright.
Im a bit turned off pigtronix, I went to their booth and they kinda blew me off, im assuming its because im a seventeen year old kid.
and the zvex thing- i was disappointed with it. from what the guy played for me it seemed like it was more of a standard vibrato than what the lofi loop junky sounds like. Maybe he didnt show me all the features.

I had a lot of fun at NAMM and wish i could go again next year, but at this point it isnt looking likely

Not sure. Saw that he gave Jason Simon (Dead Meadow) the prototype while seeing Dead Meadow over the weekend. Hopefully this blooms into something incredible.

Well good to know I won't be purchasing a Merkin until the dirty details are revealed :poke:

In all seriousness, I  that innagoddadavida (sp?) tone on the Cbread vid. Definitely on the short list for this year

The "Dead Merkin" is just a regular Merkin with a clean blend... so nothing that cool, unless you like clean blends. I don't think I own a single pedal with a clean blend, and I have a Merkin already, and it's sweet, so the Dead version is no big deal to me. Built in Starve would have been cool, because that thing needs it. But it IS a sweet fuzz.

Mot!

But f'reals the Merkin is a gggreeeattt fuzz pedal. I had Jero fashion me a stand-alone voltage reducer that is necessary for wringing everything you want out of the Merkin. My first post on ILF waaaaaaay back in like March 2010 was me axing about the Rentals fuzz on "Return Of The Rentals", and whilst the Merkin doesn't get it EXACTLY, it's really close. And it sounds great on bridge, neck, tone max, tone min, voltage max, voltage "min", etc. A lot of really neat combinations. I actually bought immediately after watching that dumb little video of theirs.

And for any Ventures fans, it NAILS "1000 LB. Bumble Bee".

:)*

dubkitty wrote:i'm interested in the little TC Electronic delay...an easily adjustable 2290-esque digital delay that'll do dotted-eights in a stompbox is enticing. i'm also curious about the new Malekko Omicrons, especially the Attack/Decay. i could get with a Slow Gear kind of thing. and since my board is getting packed like Noah's Ark, little bitty pedals would be handy.

i didn't really have big gas for any new namm gear, but seeing that new tc electronic delay...
ugh... massive want, but too much of my monies just got spent on textbooks...

I kinda liked the looks of the new Red Witch line. At least on pictures cause the drive was too long for me. And did anyone hear this:

I think it looks interesting and the specs sound cool too. But I have no idea if it sounds any good and what the price tag might say...
