effects loop on a pedal questions

Post by adrianlee »

I use a Headrush E2 as my looper....Does anyone know of a mod/know how to mod it to allow it to have it's own effects loop?

I want my loops to be effected by some sort of pedal (tremolo for this example) but what to continue playing without my full signal being effected by trem.

IDEAS???!???!!!???? :idk:

record loop with the pedals on, then turn them off :idk:

(with the looper last in the chain)

Only the big solution:
guitar --> your complete chain (with all effects) --> a+b switcher -->(a) to your normal amp
-->(b) looper --> amp for loops

With this setup you have to record the loop with all effects you want to have on it.
If you dan't have a second amp handy you could use a mixer to add the signals again together.
You could also put the tremolo or whatever behind the looper.

I personally think the 2 amp concept is essential for hearing the loop in the band (bandmates complaining...) correctly. We set the loop amp up that the drummer could hear the signal while playing crash ride :thumb:

So, to sum it up: you need an a+b box and a 2nd amp or a splitter and mixer (nobels has little helpers like this).
Someone (modernage?)* postet a 4 Channel looper (the other loops ;) ) for 175$ in another thread. That may be the all in one solution for the splitter/mixer version.

Nice effect with two amps is that you can rock out with both amps :joy:

*EDIT: it was dorfmeister. This is the thread: viewtopic.php?f=149&t=14264

I have the same thing to be sorted out with my BOSS RC-50. I just want to play with modulated fuzz and dirtz full blast with the cleanish chords picking in the recorded loops. :(

WHY? Well, because FTW post # 666! and for the Other God!

I thought this thread was about pedal with an effectsloop like the Memory Boy Deluxe and the Q-Tron+, which can be pretty cool, especially if you have loads of pedals which will never have any use and are catching dust

But what I have as solutions are already mentioned :whateva:

 No, not the same thing: the recorded phrases effects can't be manipulated/ changed on fly without effecting on the riff sound that is played over the loop phrases.

Nothing, yet. I just want to be able to effect my loops on the fly (and still have my signal go through my chain as normal but not be effected by the effects that are effecting the loop). I can't figure out how to do it with my E2 in a way that makes sense to me. Maybe I'm too dumb.
