Second Voice
So what's the dealio with these puppies? They seems super cool, I'm thinking I need to pick one up when I gather the appropriate funds. The full version seems intense, albeit too much for me to handle. So the Second Voice seems just right. Anybody 'round these parts happen to pick one up?

I saw the video you guys did, super dope. Really helpful too the way he described all the functions and interval options and stuff.

Thanks. The way he has the pedal setup really is the brilliant part of it all.

You fucking elitist prick.
I'm pretty sure Infanem doesn't browse or post on HCEF anyhow... lol.
As far as I know the Second Voice is pretty much just one of the "channels" from the bigger unit... plus fuzz and blend controls.

Re: Second Voice
Got mine in the mail today.
First impressions:
Loads of sounds. Synth, harmony, fuzz, octave up/down. When in clean mode, the range knob almost needs to be fully cranked. For some reason it gets too scrambly when you roll it back. In fuzz mode it just gets pretty cool depending on where you have it set.
I love the layout, and simplicity of the pedal. On fuzz mode it can get HUGE sounding. Also, the volume output is just insane. Louder than even my 4545
Downside for me.... It decays pretty quickly. I play low output single coils, so I imagine this is a big reason why. I'd bet with some more juice or even an active bass it'd be just fine. I also imagine with bass this could move mountains. I was getting some insanely heavy sounds. Unfortunately, my little 1x12" couldn't pound it out like it should have.
Overall I'm really impressed. My only downside is that I'm not fully used to using something like this. I almost feel I should be more musically inclined using something playing these different pitches.
Also, I'm wondering if octave pedals just aren't for me. I've played a number of them and just haven't bonded. I can also cop some of these sounds using some of my pedals if I really wanted too. So, we'll see.
I may be hitting the spam with this one and give some fellow ILF'rs a shot at this monster.
I will say I was using the auto volume echo on my M9 and I got some redicliously awesome synthy lead sounds. I bet this and an EHX freeze would be a match made in heaven.

Yo haze, that thing through a large cab &/or with a bass is every bit as crushing as you imagine. The output is overbearing! I suggest you give it some time before b/s/t'ing it. The AHS and I went back and forth every day for the first week. Don't think it's going anywhere now.

Thanks for the info hazel. I'll echo Jero and say spend some more time with it! You never know what could happen.
Buuut if you decide you might wanna trade it for a Rat or something...

Exactly the same here: i have to spend a lot of time in the AHS! But i don't think i will ever let that go. I had last night again a beautiful new idea with it.
My 2nd voice was shipped today. So ask me in 2 weeks about it. Oh how i hate the delay of the customs duty...

Re: Second Voice
You guys are probably right. I'm going to see how it plays in a band. It sounds super awesome, I'm just wondering if it's for me. I'm thinking even for the price, it's an awesome massive to synthy massive fuzz. And it should be really helpful in the studio. So I'm on the fence, but I'll probably keep it. It's pretty unique in sound, features and aesthetics.
