Making things CV compatible

How difficult would this be? I'd like to make my Frequency Analyzer CV compatible and use it with my old analog synth. Is it even worth it? Would anyone around here like to take a shot at it?

not that hard

the modulation frequency is generated from an ICL8038 chip.

basically you need to add something like the opamp circuit feeding pin 8.

How old is the Frequency Anaylzer? They don't use that chip anymore and the schematic is a bit different.
It's an AD633 now.

It's the bigbox version, though I'm ot sure from which decade. How can I find out? Open it up, I guess...?

It's an AD633 now.

the ICL 8083 is not the balanced modular, but the function generator. AD633 replaced the old analog multiplier IC, I am pretty sure they still use ICL 8083 for the function gen. If not its no big deal. If the generator is voltage controlled its more straightforward. Otherwise, current controlled as the 8083, use an opamp to make a voltage controlled current source and voila same difference.

Teach me for not looking at the schematic and just assuming you were talking about the multiplier, yes it still uses the 8083.
