This message is most likely very old, so things said here probably don't apply to the current state of all things devi ever. As always, you can visit www.deviever.com for the latest on devi ever related projects.

This looks good, though it is a module: http://www.noisebug.net/site/analogueso ... .cfm?id=73

Might be a good excuse to start building a system! Hahahhaha.

I may ditch the Evolver and put together a small modular synth.....

Analogue Solutions System X looks like it could fit the bill.

And then the edition of a modular control system and modular analog video synthesis and processing could be next.

harpies wrote:He said it was ok to post info. So, it should be under $400, as he said he wanted to keep the cost well below that, which is why he is not including the drone and other attachment...he will be posting schematics for those, so people can either build them or buy them if they are so inclined. Artwork is subject to change, and this is just me guessing, but I'm thinking they should be starting to roll out by late february.

since I can't imagine anyone else building a PLL clone, I would assume this is the same person I know who is building them.
He has done his research and not only owns a PLL, but has looked at mine and at least 2 other people's to get the missing pieces.
The thing about gooping is that if you look at enough of the pedals you can get all the values you're looking for.

While I hate red/black as a forum layout (hi devi), I think it looks snazzy on that pedal.

Though it's just a mockup...I don't think he's chosen the final artwork yet.

One thing I am finding interesting with the traciking on the Mini-Ark is that it seems to track better if I don't fret the string, rather I place my finger on the string in the same manner as you would if you were playing a harmonic.

All of this is in magical setting #1. I've gotten it to track pretty well on that setting.....though it still can be a bit glitchy.....haven't really delved into getting it to track better on the other "magical setttings".

As I keep posting in this thread it kind of seems that no one cares.....but I am documenting all of this for myself.

:poke: Hey, hey. I care! I think it's more that you're exotic lands and having adventures that most of us only dreamed of. haha.

I have been curious. What has you signal flow been when messing around with the Ark?

I'd prefer a different color palet too. I've definitely seen worse. At least it's not a gross color scheme with gaudy graphics, and a tacky logo.

Oh, and NEW SMILEY DAY!!!

Hey,

Thanks for the interest.

I am simply doing guitar to buffer to Mini-Ark and then El Capistan and amp.

I've got the input sensitivity all the way up as that seems to be the best setting with a guitar with passive pickups. The buffer seemed at first like it was improving the tracking.....though I may need to test without it again.

The Mini-Ark strangely seems to need to "warm up" a bit before it tracks better although there are other variables that I may need to rule out....like me learning how to make it track better as I play with it!
