Musician classifieds. We've all done the Craigslist game at some point and had to deal with jackoffs from every walk of life, only to end up in the same place where you started after wasting a few hours of your life. The people that have congregated here seem to share at least a few basic points of view about music/gear/fuzz/creating/art, and have enough interest in it to actively participate in discussions about it.
Thoughts?

I don't think we really have a large enough group of people for that to be very useful. Just doesn't come up much around here

Jero on the other hand is right - probably not enough members to work so well. And of the total head count a lot of the creeps/ passive members/ silly persons are too uncertain to answer
Even if it wasn't the case, I'd do the same as always - take my ad to the local record shops, music shops, and so on.
Put the word on the streets and boozers.Post however Your note on the music subforum and see if anything comes out of it? I've seen guys have contacted each other and arranged meetings with nearby ILFs.

Ah damn. I guess you guys are right in terms of limited numbers making this pretty ineffectual. Maybe if ILF ever becomes an internet superpower it could be relevant

this has probably already been established but i can't search for bass?
"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: bass."
it turns out you can't search for fuzz either.

Yeah, fish is a perfectly valid search object, and chips, too.

Hrm.
I'll try to fix that. I've always hated when forum search engines don't allow 3-4 letter words.- unownunown

Fixed the search thing! There's this filter that prevents users from searching for common words used on this board...it was set at 5%, meaning it wouldn't allow users to search for any word that appears in more than 5% of the posts here.
Of course, bass, fuzz, and more. Dumb feature.
