A Noisy Project

Post by Jero »

Wanted to get this started, though a little premature, I'll admit.

A simple, yet extremely fun noise generator.

The top panel is painted in the same fashion. Guts are elsewhere at the moment. More details to come.

is this based on an existing design or completely original. I been wanting to do something similar but I'm indecisive as to exactly whats goin in the box. probably an MFOS WSG and another 555 osc going into the CGS ring mod. then lots effects at the end. put it in a box. done. just so many possibilities. body contacts are a little scary to design for a noob like me. some of my pots see 9v so they obviously shouldn't be body contacts.

Well, I wouldn't say it's original. Most of what's going on has been done before elsewhere, at least for this bare-bones version. I just wanted to see what I could do with it. Thinking these will go for $45, shipped, as it is now. Later/custom versions (if such a thing is wanted), will likely be stereo, have added effects or controls, etc.
For now, just know: It bleeps, it bloops! It squelches and squeeches! Drones and stutters! Even changes pitches! (read pitch like 'peaches')

I imagine that would be one hellofa box, there EYG, a wsg+another osc+ring mod :thumb: WAY more complex than this little guy.

Cool box. I'd be interested in one, as all I want is "bleeps/bloops" for that sorta price! I wonder if you could make a micro version of a bleeper/blooper? Good luck with the project.
