Ooh that's quite good.

In all seriousness though he should stop churning out music at such a high rate. I have trouble keeping up and beside some decent tracks I haven't heard anything genuinely memorable in a while now

Agreed. He's really focused and is making tons of stuff and has a studio to make music at his disposal. It's like being a kid and you say, "If I had my own studio, I'd record all day and all night and do nothing but make music.". I feel there's reason behind his extremely concentrated years of music. Admittedly, it's not all gems to me, but I you have to give it up for doing that much.

I've not checked the site in maybe two months and I'm four albums behind! Hahahah, Zach Hill OOO!

You have to think of it from a creator standpoint. I think he believes no idea is more special than another. He's never been one to try to sound like anyone one person or genre. It's not song by song, it's all connected. I'm really starting to realize that motivation. Music is meant to be shared and heard, why shelf anything?

BTW listen to the new Zach Hill record, that is pretty awesome too.

Absolutely. Listening to the Mantra Hiroshima it seems he has a recipe that is jazz mentality with rock skills. Get talented musicians and you can jam for a long time and go up and down with it and it'll be fun for more than just you.

I've not heard the solo Zach Hill, although there was a thread about it recently.

Do you remember when Frusciante was also very concentrated and productive to get his dope? :poke:

I've actually not listened to a Frusciante album in it's entirety. My friends use to swear when he was drugged out it was great music. Both those guys are sober I do believe.

The important thing is that both of them overcame severe drug addictions and still are doing amazing things musically, which proves the drugs did/do nothing for the creative stimuli.
