Rics are notorious for inconsistent quality control. I would make sure to play the actual guitar and make a decision based on that rather than color. Also, the FG varies quite a bit from year to year. For a while, it looked more pinkish than orange/red. As far as the 12's go, the 660/12 has a wide board that is much easier to play than the other models. But it is much more expensive. I think MB is the second-best color Ric ever did after WalnutGlo.

i hear mixed things about their quality control. i thought they were suppose to have really great quality control and that was supposedly why they dont make many Rics and dont do any overseas models. but i guess the fact that at least a few people out there have had bad experiences must mean their quality control cant be THAT great?

its true the ric 330 6 i had recently was terribly made it was no greater in build quality to a mij fender possibly lower then that
they run on hype alot for there price kind of sad cause i expect way more for the money
none the less great guitars but u have to really pick out the good one from the trashy ones, the super old ones are great mid 80s ones sucked, newer ones better
