similar amps?

so i sold the marshall MG. played a peavey classic 30 and surprisingly LOVED it. but i also took a look at the epiphone blues custom, and the thing that i love is that you can run it 30watts or 15watts, which is something i can definitely find a use for. are there any other amps out there in a similar price range that have that feature? i don't wanna spend too much, mainly because i feel the need to buy a lunar echo in the immediate future because i'm tired of wanting one but not having one, but this will be my first "nice" amp and i'll need it to be a keeper/all purpose amp.

Blackhearts do a similar thing, i think, and so do Bugeras.

bugeras are nice and glassy, more "american" style i guess. I always found blackhearts crunchier

ive owned the little giant and i currently use a killer ant and i love those amps. so simple and cheap they sound good take pedals great (little giant) and sound like a NMV sunn exploding at whisper volumes (killer ant) i love them so much.

I did not like the Bugera I played at all. Feel like it sounded really thin and cheap, but people seem to like them, so it shows how subjective these matters are for everyone.

But both of those are going to be too small for you.

I think the new AC30 can go 30 -> 15 W too.

Or you could juts get an attenuator and use any amp you like.

i'm very familiar with Bugeras, they're really popular here and i'm working part time in a music store...

There are certain models that are not really bad... i mean it's not easy to find a decent hi-gain amp with a low budget and the 333 or 333XL are quite good! the 6260 and 6262s are a bit weird in terms of equalisation - they have this strange hissy treble, not very nice to hear

about the Vintage series... the V5 is a great home practice amp with switching the power from 5W to 0.1w... also the headphone output is a nice addition. However, for similar price (at least here) you can get Laney Cub10 that sounds a lot better to me... it doesn't have reverb, headphones output or a power switching...

BUT i have to say they seem a bit quiet for those wattages... probably not very well designed circuits

- how is the bass response? (talking about combo or cabs? which cabs? (1x12, 2x12 etc.)

the pedal taking part would be quite interesting. i'm thinking about a V55 (or/and the big one 1960!)

Do you have any experience with the 1960? I've always wondering how good of a job they do imitating the old Superlead/Superbass...

I will need some more info about this. I have never really looked at the Killer Ant...sounds like I should.
