Ha ha, should I see if anyone can hazard a guess at what is going on here? It's pretty straightforward and logical once the initial WTF wears off.

Looks like there's just enough space for a P90 in there... :poke: :animal:

:omg: You are a sick man.

I also thought of this, actually

It would have to be a noiseless p90, though. Otherwise, with the other features of the guitar, this could be really noisy.

That could be a hint, I suppose.

There's something of Mellowtone origin lurking underneath, isn't there?

No, but, I am positive it will sound great through mellowtone products. It's all passive.

This. Probably some coil splitting and series/parallel wiring? Other than that, I'm lost. Erect, but lost.

Ha ha ok, I guess i shall just explain.

Well, as you might guess from the two outputs, this guitar is designed to be used in stereo (or mono, of course). One of the reasons I post it here is it's designed with my stereo pair of custom Wolf Computers in mind.

So here's how it works:

The two pickup selectors are 4-way tele wired and they each control the pickup choice/mixing within a group of two pickups. The bridge humbucker and lace hot gold bridge (bridge) are one group. The fender-lace blue and the lace hot gold bridge (yes, it's a hot bridge pickup in the neck position ) are the second group (the lower control).

So, you can think of each set as a telecaster wiring. each selector does both series/pickup1/both parallel/pickup 2 for each group as with a normal 4-way tele switch.

The outputs of these then go to two separate volume controls (gibson-style control) and are then routed over to the jaguar plate. This is wired like a Jaguar Bass pickup selector.

The jaguar plate switches are as follows (top to bottom):

On/Off Neck/Mid group
On/Off Bridge HB/SC group
Series/Parallel between groups.

This is only in effect if you are in mono (output 1), but with the series/parallel switch you can mix the output of each group together in parallel or series, so you can have, for example, neck/mid in series with each other in parallel with bridge and...other bridge in series with each other. Up to all in parallel or all in series (though, I need help troubleshooting the wiring for this position as I haven't gotten all four to work in series, yet).

Ok, so knobs.

The bottom knob controls volume for neck/mid and output two. This is a push/pull pot. Pull position sends neck/mid to output two for true stereo operation.

The middle knob is actually a 5-position rotary switch. This controls the coils within the humbucker. Positions are as follows Normal HB/Coil 1/Both Coils in Parallel with one another/Coil Two (Out of Phase)/Normal HB (Out of phase with everything else)

The top knob is volume for the bridge/bridge group. This is also push/pull and activates a bass cleanup based on the ayan smooth and slim circuit. It clears up muddiness that can result from having tons of stuff on in series.

It sounds like rocket science, but in practice it's actually not very confusing.

What IS confusing is the jaguar bass circuit isn't working as it should be in series. I am going to have to recheck the wiring, but it could be interacting in some strange way with the rotary switch. That's my theory, anyway. Everything else works as it should and it's got a super wide range of sounds.

:)

This is mostly correct! But of course the stereo is probably the coolest/best thing about it.

Basically worked with my local luthier (who is amazing, by the way), to create something that combined elements of the telecaster, stratocaster, jaguar, jaguar bass, les paul, and rickenbacker's stereo guitars.

Obviously the body and pickup compliment is inspired by a strat.
The wiring and several pickup combinations are 4-way telecaster.
The pickup layout is inspired by the jaguar (the neck and bridge pickups on a jaguar are strat pickups but the bridge is non-angled. in this case that is also a necessity).
The volume controls and humbucker are les paul inspired.
The pickup mixing is from the jaguar bass.
Stereo outputs are inspired by the Rick-O-Sound with a different implementation, because I don't trust myself to not lose a TRS cable and would rather have the option to go directly out of the guitar. I may employ a stereo double Y cable, though, so I don't have two cables coming off the guitar, but I wanted to make sure, if it broke or was lost I could use two regular cables.
