Wah -> ab-synth okay???

Post by Jim Cobb »

I know some fuzz pedals dont like having a Wah before them. How does the Absynth feel about this?

It goes both ways. I had a bass wah before and after. I ended up preferring after, but that's just because it'd manipulate the oscillation.

^I agree

My algal bloom has oscillation and putting it after my wah takes a lot of manipulating options away so it's first in my chain followed by wah.

I've always preferred fuzz>wah myself,it'll get you that cat tail under the rocking chair type sound,like in this song:

This applies, so much. :thumb: One mans defect is another mans dearly loved effect. I have tried mine in front of a few funny oscillating things and found it best after - where it effects the oscillation, with a steady foot.

Some wahs just don't like to sit there after a half dozen of dirt boxes, :erm: if they work as sound generating devices along with being cry babies...

Man, I'm the exact opposite of you guys... I've always loved putting a wah in front of my fuzzes, so it swept the fuzz and brought out all these wonderful colours... :love:

Two guys are watching a dog lick its own crotch.
One guy says, "I wish I could do that."
The other guy says, "If I could do that, I wouldn't need a dog!"

I think it's okay either way, depending on your tastes.
Though my gut would say AB-Synth-->Wah, for the best interaction with oscillation.
