The case for strap locks and right angle cables

That's how most guitarplayers I know do it, very great tasting beer also!
And I have used the same for years now! The older type on those beer bottles was of a better shape in my opinion..

And always right angle cables, cause I like that much more

Yup, right angles for Jazz and P bases, straight for the ’51 reissue.
I like right angles at the amp also.

My newer basses have strap locks so I use them.

my bass's jack is on the side plus i don't think a right angle cable would fit it. i never really understood why jacks are on the front though, it seems to defy all logic.

Easier to drill/wire. You can wire a Strat completely on the pickguard. Plus, you gotta drill a pretty damn big hole in the side of the guitar.

I just hate it when people mod guitars with straplocks. Especially on expensive, rare, collectible guitars. There are all sorts of locks you can get that dont require modding. Some straps have string to tie it on. Or a lock built into the strap. There are so many products out there. I dont dance around so why would i want some big peice of metal interupting the sexy lines of my strat thats irreversible. I have seen dunlop strap locks fail. The spring fails.
