Space Station is the king if this. I know they're pricey, but to to reproduce this effect, you'd need a volume swell, a reverb, a delay and a harmonizer. And you can get one of the space station modes on the Digitech EX-7.

Otherwise, when I think of dreamy, I tend to think of reverb/delay and chorus or a really subtle phaser. Maybe throw an EHX Freeze in there? :idk:

I'm wanting a shallow vibrato ala boards of Canada. Like a warped record type sound. Pitch Pirate sounds really cool, maybe not dreamy enough.

FX500?

soft focus is comp>delay>reverb>some weird chorus/flange thing.

what about Pitch Pirate->Delay->Reverb? ;)

Anyway - dreamy modulation combined with reverb and/or delay is probably the only way i could use a chorus or a flanger

Warped record? I think the more extreme choruses can do that, so maybe try a pitch pirate or a Mind Warp or a Sea Machine. If you blend it in just right and maybe put much reverb in front it it would kick ass.

'Verb in front of chorus... Interesting. I always put reverb last. Must try this.

To your original point though - the Digitech PDS Chorus Flanger seems like a sweet one to try.

I never really liked chorus after anything... it just turns into a flange sound with everything I've tried...
