Absolute horseshit. Also, drumsets with more than four toms.

I'll rock the fuck out of anything, even shit I hate. I can't stand Markbass but I've gigged with it. Who cares?

I'd feel like a jackass playing this bass but I'd do it anyway if given the chance:

Most of those super custom, boutique basses that look like expensive furniture.
"Metal" guitars, the really pointy janks with lightning and such on them, like the dimebag darrel guitars.
Anything with flames or tribal designs on it.

I agree with this. I can get past the headless..ness but it paired with the 2x4 body looks too ridiculous. The wider ones are fine though.[/quote]

100% with you here. Especially on the basses. And then whoever posts a picture of theirs also has 4 more of them, "but this stripe is of a different tonewood"
"these knobs are different wood types"
"this one has a bloodwood ramp and this one has padauk"
"oh I never take these two out of their cases"

It's just...man.

+1

however i'd love to NOT use anything PRS, shredder guitars like the satch, vai, pettlerussi (whatever that dream theater fuks name is). zach wilde's silly fukking LP's and stoopit flying SGV, crate v50, a big muff, a tubescreamer, a tele with a humbucker in the bridge, pink fairy wings, white socks

still though...i would use that crap if need be.... but i'd have to be high.

No way dude!

The Minarik Inferno is the most scientifically advanced electric guitar ever built! It even says so on the site!

Each individual flame tongue was designed to produce a certain frequency response giving the Minarik Inferno the most balanced and widest tone spectrum unmatched by any other guitar on the market today.

guitars with someone's trademark paint scheme and/or logotype fingerboard inlays, like the EVH or Synyster Gates models or the SRV Strats.

guitars that are wildly pointy and "metal": Schecters are usually OK; ESPs are borderline; Jacksons are right out.

really expensive instruments...i'd feel like a total dick rocking a $6000 guitar. "look at me, i has moneez!" :whateva:

talkboxes and vocoders.

keytars...but i suppose that goes without saying. or are they now so lame that they've become hip? :idk:

musical instruments of India. they've been appropriated enough. i might make an exception for tamboura and/or harmonium, though...one can never have too many drone instruments.

i like Steinbergers, though...i dig the minimalist aesthetic, though it's not my favorite 19th/20th century art movement. they're kind of hard to get used to holding and playing; however, a friend of mine had one of the Hohner Steinberg-a-like basses which i played a fair bit, and it was really comfortable once you got accustomed to it.
