I don't dislike anythign about Pet Sounds, not only is teh music good but from a technical standpoint the production was amazing, it's like do you like Citizen Cane for the movie or for it's inovativeness?
i am listening to it now. about halfway through, i think i can safely say production wise it is definitely great.
but kanye's rapping is really fucking lame. i think his rapping has gotten worse since graduation. srs.
also not a huge fan of the lot of the beats. i'd even go as far as to say i hate some of them. what's the saying about polishing a piece of shit again? well, it's not shit. this album is a rock. it's not going to become a diamond.
i am pretty unimpressed, especially given all the hype. i even watched runaway (equally overrated), dammit.

Finally listened to the entire album, I think the overall production of it is amazing. I love it, but is it a perfect 10? I don't know. But I think it should become a landmark for sounds you want to express in an album. Its beats and production allow the music to move, something that I rarely here on other hip-hop albums. This and the recent Death Grips mixtape have inspired me so much.
How do you think the record has aged over time?
