I frequent a few surplus electronics shops here in San Diego. I occasionally grab "lots" on eBay, too.

HAM radio swap meets and flea markets. they give the stuff away.

I got some NOS germanium diodes from Smallbear, but I've switched to generic reproductions just 'cause they're cheaper and mojo for mojos sake is stupid.

Smallbear carries NOS Ge transistors, though. I've been wanting to try them out...

There's always lots on eBay, too.

whats to look for in a transistor
i see people talk about leakyness and hfe and gains
