It's more about posting the layout for a "small" builder's pedal than anything else. You could have plenty of discussion about it at FSB and no one would care, but there are a lot of small builders here who would be hurting if people cloned their pedals.
There are a lot of designs we do talk about freely here though... all the classics such as Fuzz Faces, Tonebenders, etc., Tim Escobedo's circuit snippets (the Logan 5 Ring Mod is based on one), and designs we come up with on our own and want to share, and so on.
