Catalinbread DLS
Xotic BB+
MI Audio Crunchbox
Fulltone OCD

Out of those I liked the DLS because it played well with others, and the BB+ because the EQ on it was great (not to mention the 2nd channel).

A few others I'd like to try:
Suhr Riot
All the old made in England Marshall pedals
Voodoo Lab OD (The OCD is based off this pedal)
Barber Direct Drive

I know there's a bajillion more, but those are the pedals that really caught my eye. It really depends on what voicing you want too. An OD based off of a Plexi will sound different then one trying to sound like a JCM. Group 'em all together though, because I love 'em all.

I guess I am looking for a very 90's brit/alt-rock sound ala feeder, 3 colors red, therapy (so more hot vox's, JCM 800s etc). I suppose Jimmy Eat World's heavier stuff would fall under the same. What would you suggest?

I know I can pull that off with the DLS but I still find it too fizzy when its cranked too much (yet unless i crank the gain i don't get the same punch). I thought about hunting down a WIIO v1 but im not sure if that would do it.

Rat is what you need. Just try it, they're super cheap used.

The Eternity series seems pretty awesome too. But yeah, it is really pricy :(

The Eternity is based on a stripped down TS, so it will be very mid heavy. It shouldn't get too muddy, but on the other hand you might not like it as standalone dirt. Tube Screamers are usually considered best for goosing an amp that's already cooking.

I love the smell of solder in the morning.

Successful dealings with: blooghost, starcastic, bronzetalon, theavondon, absent, jero, sevenSHARPnine, magiclawnchair, oldangelmidnight, and others that I can't remember lol

I had a v.2 WIIO and hated it.
I tried really, really hard to like it but couldn't. I think it's finicky about amps.
It sounds awesome through my friends champ thing he built (he bought it off me), but I was running a 1983 Concert II and it was nasty sounding.
I don't think it will solve your fizz problems if it's like the v.2s

Thanks for letting me know. I'm going to keep this in mind.

I think I'm going to have to find myself a good rat. That seems to be the most common response from people for what i'm looking for.

Unless of course there are other good "glassy" pedals that have enough gain on tap.
