I like to be a super cliche, as I use chorus and delay together for the majority of my clean sounds.

Being Anti-Cliche' is Cliche'

Too much stigma, do what sounds fucking good! If an 80s Metal Band Did it? So what, you've heard of them, they were probably good!

So when does "doing the chiche'd thing becomes cool" become cliche'd again? :wha?:

I need delay and will be one of the only ones to outright prefer digi to analog (which I like too). I generally use it for rhythmic delays and play off the crystal clear echos. I've had many but my DD-5 will always remain and I've added an M9. I'm hard pressed to think of what else I'll need delay-wise. Using the M9 with an expression pedal is great for fading delays in/out. I put an option-knob on the volume knob of the Boss as well for a similar effect. I love when infinite delays start to flam and make new rhythms. Delay, fuzz, and envelope filters are my must-haves.

I need it but usually when I use delay its long shit so if the timing is off it sounds weird

Weird thing: since i bought the EQD disaster transport, i've been using my SMMH very little :( when i think about it, i use probably only the Reverse Mode now - for 100% wet reverse delay or for ambient reverb (decay cranked -> angels playing harps of win in great halls of helm's deep) :( it's sad...

I mainly use delays for special effects, seldom just for straight forward delay use.
I could live without it, but there are a lot of things i would miss without delay.
