WOLF COMPUTERS AND BASS ANYONE?

I know there is a small handful of people who use it on bass but i dont think they use it as there normal fuzz. I have tried it myself and I do think it is fun for a special a effect for ripping sawtooth bass solos. But, since the glitchyness has much to do with the pitch of the note, it doesnt respond to bass exactly the same. In otherwords, where a note on guitar is really glitchy, the same note on bass (and octave or two down) is less glitchy, unless you turn back the sag knob some more.
i havent tried it, but it might be more fun/useful with a morley fx blender pedal

Ok thanks. I have a blender pedal so I can try it with that plus I am aware of what a bass signal does with fuzzes like this so.. My main question is does it lose lows? I can deal with everything else.

I hate to dissappoint, but I think you will find it cuts some lows. not too terrible on guitar, but you might find some settings sounding more lofi on bass. ill throw on a fat input capacitor to help compensate on yours

I think it depends on what settings you are using. I have tried it with really boosted bass as an input and it has gotten kind of thin. But then again, I have found boosting a guitar into it can produce a ton of bass, so I know the pedal is capable of putting out a bunch of bass.

You'd probably just have to really tweak around until you found something usable.

Yeah, I kind'a figured... I don't mind if it isn't the best "live" pedal for bass I have plenty of need for cool lo-fi sound for recording, plus I do play guitar a bit so either way. Also I have found that most of the time when people complain about low loss they don't factor in the treble getting louder and turn the treble down on their amp or run though a filter of some kind, I have gotten really cool sounds by running a trashy lo-fi fuzz sound into a LPF, really cool sounds... and yet I have been told this does not work... it does. I think this will be fun none the less..

Actually i just decided to play my wolf (one of the souped up ones) with my jaguar bass. Actually, it sounds pretty good. With the 4+ knob versions you can also get a good straight up dirty bass fuzz sound by putting sag all the way up (full voltage) and backing off a bit on the gain with bias all the way down. I actually didn't find many of the usual settings unusable, but I agree it would probably work best with a clean blend.

Also, i discovered that the Hi-Five works pretty well as a boost with bass on its own or into the wolf (mine has one built into the front end).

The Wolfy is one of my go-to pedals on bass! That said, it does lose some lows, but not as much as you may think. And there are so many millions of settings, you're sure to find more than a few that are so awesome, they're totally worth it.
