Not sure exactly which forum is appropriate for this 'un, but I'm trying to get the word out: I occasionally play in a cover band called the Cusaks. We usually stick to special events and benefits, and have one coming up in January 2011. A work colleague of three of ours has been living with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) for the past three years. Needless to say, the medical bills are more than a young family with three kids can keep up with on their own, so last year we put together a benefit concert for him. It was a great success, so we're having another at The Met Cafe in Pawtucket, RI, on the 21st of January.
If you're up on Facebook, the info is all there - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=175877979108453 - if you're in the area and interested in coming, but not on FB, feel free to PM me and I can get you more details.

I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.
