When you say cut in half for international first class you mean around twenty something instead of forty something right?

If you sell something and the buyer uses paypal:

---If you ship international priority, insured for the full amount, with tracking and signature confirmation and it disappears en route
1. Paypal gives your buyer their money back
2. You file a claim with the PO, they give you your money back (up to the insured amount)
Neither of you lose any money, but your gear is gone.

---If you ship first class international, there is no tracking and no signature confirmation (not sure about insurance, I'm in Canada) and it disappears en route (or your buyer says it never arrives, remember there is no tracking and no signature confirmation)

2. You are up shit creak
Your buyer gets their money back. Your gear is gone. (Your buyer may have received it but decided to screw you over, you'll never know).
