Ever tried populating a printed image of the board, soldering everything ptp style, and then ripping the paper off?

I've considered that - have you tried it? How'd it work out?

The wood and nails thing is very cool - here's a SHO I built up that way a few years ago (with a plexiglass bottom plate!):

Never went through with it. Still want to for sure.

I just constantly think of diff things I want to try or want to make and kind of overwhelm myself some times.

Hmmmm . . . . sounds like someone I know. Someone who should be at work right now instead of in the basement with a soldering iron . . . gotta run!

But - speaking of this - I have a bunch of 'vintage' solid-core wire that is stiff as a board - if I can make it work without breaking it I imagine it would hold it's form perfectly for something like eternity - might give it a shot this weekend.

Haha, I knew I wasn't the only one.
You should really give that a shot. I'd like to see more ptp stuff...even if I have to do it myself, lol.
