^ This! Awesome album...mostly acoustic, kinda in the psychedelic-folk/quasi Eastern realm..but still really nice stuff :thumb:

Also..not quite sure if this qualifies as psych (or it's many subgenres) but a band you might want to check out is Von Frickle.
Their most recent album Arrhythmia is great, along with their previous one, which I believe was called Mission 4.9.

my tastes lean more to the psychedelic pop and folk psych of the era but here are a few

j.k. & co - fly

headphones = :omg:

slap happy humphrey

in the 90s they did a cover album (their only album) of songs by morita doji (radtastic folk singer from the 70s). very beautiful acid-folkish songs over droney fuzz washes punctuated by cacophonic bursts of noise, yet somehow the contrast brings out the beauty in a somewhat different state

roger rodier - my spirit's calling

gorgeous minimal synth sounds. so beautiful
out on my skateboard the night is just humming
and the gumsmacks are the pulse i'll follow if my walkman fades

Check out Electric Wizard's new album. It's filled with lots of good doom/stoner/psych goodness.
