The early versions had an internal trim pot, but later on they decided that the tones were dialed in and removed it. I bet if you had to order one they could hook you up :erm:

I DIYed an Acetone Fuzzmaster a couple of months ago. The circuit is a cool Superfuzz variant. I like it way better than the Superfuzz I was building.

I omitted the midscoop filter on the end and put 2 sets of diodes on a switch. Used some NOS germanium diodes and some super fat rectifier diodes from a surplus shop. The germaniums sound great but the fat rectifier diodes make the germaniums sound like shit. The sound is thick and massive with lots of octave up. I was playing some power cords through my shitty Crate practice amp and my friend said it sounded like Dopesmoker!

I may build a batch in the future.

I still prefer the Fender Blender... Obviously, the original and not the crappy reissue. Insane bottom end, great volume output, upper octave that screams like a bunch of drunken cats... And a terrific boost mode.

It' a weird pedal, with a special octave effect and a thick and juicy fuzz. But I don't like the lack of low frequencies (btw, I've only owned the reissue).

i dig the FTM! i've built a few for some peeps and it really delivers. my old bandmate used one on a rickenbacker guitar and it sounded pretty huge. really nice feedback, too...

also i tried tafm > tafm > tafm last night and there was some really sweet octave-ing going on, albeit noisy as shit - in a good way. :omg:

I love the FTM! it's got major low end, IMO. An the octave is just nuts. Get a clone made to really great specifications, and you'll be set.
