Tiny, effective delays

So I have an Echolution and am looking to add a second delay to my board. I don't have much room or want to spend too much. I've been looking at an EHX memory boy and the MXR carbon copy. You guys have an opinion on those pedals or any other that would fit under the small an awesome category.

Memory Toy or Boy kill both of those pedals....and I do not even like modern EHX stuff. The Carbon Copy is kind of tame as far as the repeats are concerened. The EHX just sounds right and has awesome modulation. The Malekko gets kind of funny at times. Like the repeats sound lost.

I like the Carbon Copy it's a perfect all around delay, and the self oscilation is awesome! The Modulation switch doesn't do as much as I thought it would, but not that important.

The rate and depth trim pots inside make a HUGE difference buddy. Try changing those.

While not having tried the carbon copy I can't really say.

The biggest problem I had with the memory toy was the way it played with your volume; noon is unity delay and dry, before noon boosts the dry, post noon keeps the delay signal at the same volume and cuts out the dry. The modulation was pretty cool, but getting the thing to self oscillate took forever. Oscillation is half the fun of analog delays. The memory boy wasn't as bad, and had better oscillation/modulation.

I love my 616 the insane amounts of modulation on tap are great. My favorite thing to do is set the mod rate at max and the depth at 1/3, it sounds a bit like a soundtrack for a dario argento film. I haven't had problems with lost repeats. Have tried putting up flyers? I'd like to know that they're safe at least

If you've got some cash, I'd spring for the Malekko or the Disaster Transport Jr.
I've got the regular Disaster Transport and it's killer!

If you haven't got a ton of dough, maybe try something like the EHX Memory Toy?
I'm in the process of trying to get on myself! I need another delay.

Peronally, I can't stand the Carbon Copy. I just don't like the way it sounds at all.
Something about is just off putting to me.

Thanks for the replys, I'm leaning towards the EQD Jr, but it doesn't appear to be traded very often. I'm trying to buy used. Malekko's seem to get around. We'll see if I'm patient enough.

Malekko gets around on ebay, the sellers just don't usually ship overseas...

try the DT jr., but man - even the regular Disaster Transport is SMALL it's the smallest delay i've owned

I've tried both the Memory Boy and the Carbon Copy, and I didn't like either at all. The modulation on the Memory Boy was completely unusable. Unless you want a completely wacky effect, but since you have an Echolution it would seem a bit redundant. The Carbon Copy just seemed bland to me. It wasn't a bad delay... it just seemed boring to me. Plus it's a pain having to crack open every time you want to adjust the modulation.

If I were in your shoes I might consider the circuit board version of the Deep Blue Delay. I'm sure you could pick one up for around $150 used. It will only be a matter of time before they become more available used.

Or, maybe you should snag up RossCanyonsofstatic's Malekko Echo 300b. Those original Malekko Echo's are fantastic. It's to bad they're no longer in production.

^ This one looks pretty cool...or what about the PiggyFX Space Hog? I've never tried it, but it sounds pretty sweet on the PiggyFX website. They're made in Israel, for whatever that's worth?
