Mark Ronson and the Business Intl (Pop Content)

Post by theshoegazer »

Anyone else thoroughly enjoying Record Collection? I normally don't venture out of noise/experimental but I'm loving this record for some reason...

Mark Ronson can suck a dick.

Mark Ronson can suck my dick.

Just so I can donkey punch him.

Umm... so I guess I'm not a fan. Seems to me that he's just tapping into what's cool right now. :idk:

I TiVo one show subterranean. Its a music show on MTV that's turned me on to more than a few good bands. Mogwai, muse (pre-twilight), tv on the radio, and more. Lately I haven't been watching it because it has been super trendy.

A few weeks back I watched half a years worth of episodes in one day, and the one band that sounded good were these guys(this guy :idk: ) then I forgot their name; and because I delete every episode after I finish watching, it I couldn't look it up again :(

Thanks for bringing them up I've been wanting to listen to them for a while

Not to get all argumentative about semantics, but since Ronson helped produce & shape a large part of that particular corner of what's cool right now, technically he's just ripping off himself.

That said, I kinda preferred his previous album (the all-covers album), but I'm a sucker for covers albums.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Yeah he's pretty much been inventing what's trendy in music for quite some time now.
