So....can we legitimately ask is Henry Juszkiewicz secretly working for Fender?

Henry Juszkiewicz wrote:Always at the cutting edge of innovation and connectivity, Gibson Guitar is pleased to announce a new forum, 4henry.gibson.com, which will allow fans to speak directly with Gibson Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz. The forum will be a venue for serious discussion on topics ranging from guitars to marketing and business ideas.

“I would love to get suggestions,” said Mr. Juszkiewicz, “from how the company works to what products you would like to see from us.”

Did any of you read some of the comments that were left? Not a lot of people happy with the concept or design.

I'd be curious to see what people say on that Henry forum; seems like a lot of folks would be happy with Gibson going back and sticking with what made them a household name in the first place. Guitars made the old fashioned way.

Or, you could get the next best thing and buy a Heritage guitar. :poke:

My guitarist uses a Heritage LP, it really is something else. I think she got it for like $800 too.

well aside from the onboard effects (which have been around since the 70's) all the stuff has been done on the dusk tiger n stuff, so its not that new either...

NICE!

I have a friend that used to work at the Heritage factory (and at Wechter guitars before Abe sold it). He said it was about as old-school as you could get, in terms of tools used and processes.

Ehhhh.
The only thing I've liked from gibson recently was the buckethead les paul. If it had white killswitches and a white top to the pup switch.

It's almost like they don't know that we buy/sell/trade effects pedals all the time.

yeah, the buckethead signature was great, and same with the 7-string explorer, but beyond that it just seems like the usual LP-with-different-pickups-or-finish

Or even better a Bari/bass VI fire/thunder-bird  I would buy it... as soon as they apologize for Trace and Opcode.
