For a 118 bucks brand new, it is definitely worth the try. I am on the fence about mine but that is because I have money I can spend for new gear.

It is a lot of fun for soloing and would probably be a good pedal to drone shit with.

I say go for it.

my only qualm is that there are comparably priced loop pedals that would be able to do almost the same thing.

but at the same time, its basically a sustain pedal, so i'd prolly love it.

it'd be interesting to run it through a split signal, and run that through a vibrato or something, then combine that again so you have the extra texture going...

Do it.

Got mine about a month ago, and I'm using it for a lot of things. I play at church every Sunday, and for a lot of our more drone-type songs, it gets used. I've written a couple of solo bass pieces that incorporate the Freeze as well.

For me, I was doing a lot of things that the Freeze is used for, before ever getting it. Now having it, it just makes it easier to hit drones and then put some things over the top of it.

If you are at all interested in making drones, definitely do it. It's just amazing. I love modulating mine, but even just the clean drones are sooooooooooo good. You can also get it to do superfast glitches if you futz around with it the right way.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Old thread but I just got one and it is a lot of fun. I have not played my bass this long clean in years.
