Its some kind of Ibanez Soundgear. I can't figure the model exactly. Those all look the same to me.

definitely an ibanez, from what little of the headstock logo i can see i would guess an sdgr of some kind

He didn't know because there wasn't a name on the headstock or anything. I think he picked it up second hand at a garage sale or something.

Yep. Checked pretty much everywhere, or so he says. I think it might be inside the bass itself, but he says he looked there already.

That is strange. I have never seen a Sr that didn't have the model on the back of the head. The bridge and tuners look odd to. Also that is not a common color.
