Name an effect that....

Post by adrianlee »

You're scared of. It can be something you've never used, something you know little about, something you've overused and put down because you crutched on it, etc.....

Make sure you you tell us why!

Mine is Wah. I don't know shit about it. I want to. I would LOVE to. I just haven't gotten around to ever researching them because a lot (not all) of the things i associate with wha are things that I can't stand. Lately, i've plopped my good mates on my board and played with it. It's a tricky sunnuvabitch to use, maybe another reason I'm afraid of it.

I seriously fear any effect that is any good.

I'll be looking around b/s/t and I'll be going: "AArrgh do I dare click this thread it might make me GAS for ANOTHER one"

I finally get around to having the guitar gear cash for an Algal Bloom and Aen goes and sells his epic Jazzmaster at a decent price

Chorus.
Image
I fucking hate chorus. it just sounds like blow dried big 80s hair, shoulder pads, primary colours, big hoop earrings, legwarmers, sports jackets with the sleeves rolled up, like a hot tub time machine nightmare come true. Can't stand it.
So not exactly scared I guess, unless you count afraid that all that crap is coming back in any meaningful way.

I don't get flangers either...I'm playing my guitar and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHH! I don't get it. Why?
Good deals done with all these guys

Didn't Kurt use a chorus on the "nevermind" album, the song that goes "....and I don't have a gun".

Flangers rock ! Good ones anyway, FL9's, Frostbite etc.....

Flangers that have a manual sweep are tits. I turn resonance/feedback trimpot up on yr BF-2, set the depth to 0, and you have a filtery, oscillating, reverby thing that you can sweep with the manual knob. Just great.

Maybe I'm being daft, but how do you accidentally use a ring modulator?

Also, ring modulators are awesome. YOUR OPINION IS WRONG!!!11

Well fucking boo to the two of you as well. Chorus has some great uses that have nothing to do with the fucking 80s.
