Custom Lee Ranaldo Guitar - I'm in pain/love

The worst thing happened. I found something I really want and I know I will never be able to afford it. Let me introduce you to Lee Ranaldo's Deimel Custom Guitar:



It is a Jazzmaster-style 12-string (!) instrument made by a dude in Berlin. And what's worst - not only that it looks like the coolest f***ing version of a Jazzmaster anyone has ever seen, it also has a special weapon - a Pickup Leslie. That's not Humbuckers you're seeing there, it's pairs of Single Coils that oscillate from one to the other. Speed is adjustable. I fell in love. And I would have to put all my extra money away for this for the next two and a half years which I do not think I'm able to do. So, I'm in pain.

Also Frank Deimel is a genius. Just wanted to share this with you, I think some can feel my pain. Or maybe someone will buy one of these guitars and tell us how it's all great in theory but not in reality. Maybe not.

Wow that is an awesome piece of guitar And I can imagine you pain... I know a guy who also made some things for Lee, those axes are even more insane:




The way it's stringed is something really different, don't know the configuration of this one.. But the idea is that the head on the other head is a natural echon with the 12 strings being some kind of a spring-echo, if I am correct, but don't have GAS on this too much, only 2 made, one for Lee and one for the builder Yuri Landman.. Thanks a lot for everbodies posts, it was one of my most amazing projects to do, especially meeting Lee personally, and giving him that guitar.
